Building God’s Church Together Bible Study

Engagement Opportunity

Explore God’s Biblical Vision For The Relationship Between Men and Women

Over the course of seven self-guided sessions, you’ll journey toward healthy, Christ-centered partnership between men and women in both ministry and life outside the church.

Using Isaiah 43:19, Joel 2:28-29, and Matthew 9:37-38 as our scriptural references, we believe that God is doing a new thing, that it is springing forth, and that God will continue to make a way for us as we navigate through the wilderness—and that,
just as Jesus told his disciples, the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few. We need both men and women to be raised up and sent forth to shine Christ’s light and love into a broken, hurting world so loved by God.

Our hope and prayer is that you and your congregation will find this study helpful and life-giving. We pray that the Holy Spirit hovers near as you gather to study and learn together, and that you will be blessed beyond measure by all that will be revealed as you engage in this resource and the other components of the Building God’s Church Together process.

The Bible study was put together as part of a larger ministry effort led by the Reformed Church in America Women’s Transformation and Leadership team.

Why Building God’s Church Together?

God calls both men and women to serve in the church. Building God’s Church Together is designed to help congregations and leaders create thriving ministry environments where both women and men are encouraged to embrace their gifts and develop healthy, flourishing ministry partnerships. This learning process was created by the Reformed Church in America’s Women’s Transformation and Leadership initiative and is open to lay leaders, elders and deacons, and pastors.
